princess asked:

I am a young adult (24 years old) and I am very very ashamed to admit I know almost nothing about politics, government, presidency, democrats, republicans etc. Does anyone know of any websites, books or other sources where I can get some UNBIASED, OBJECTIVE information on politics so I can educate myself and form my own opinions on these subjects?

Where/How to learn about politics?

I don’t want to just turn on the tv and start from no where, I want to know what’s been going on up until now-everything about politics, what’s a good place to start?I’m not planning on learning about politics from yahoo answers but I need to know where to get started because my parents don’t follow politics or I’d ask them so I need names of books or something.By the way,I’m 15 if that helps.

JosefM88 asked:

I mean, if Religious people kept their Religion out of Politics, we’d probably have the cure to many diseases classified as incurable today.

Example: Stem Cell Research. They never read the bill and thought that it involved killing Babies for said research because that is what Fox News told them.

Now, not all Religious people are like that, but a HEFTY amount are.

RebelliousScot asked:

That is was there a time not every issue was construed used to accuse of some such bs. That politicians actually did well politics. Not bipartsian ping pong. I understand politicians are under public eye but think they’d then try to do stuff subtly.

Why are Conservatives complaining about European politics?

Beau Brent asked:

How many of them have actually studied European politics? Besides the label “socialist” they throw around, do they have any clue what European politics are actually like?

Are they aware that Europe’s biggest governments have conservative majorities?

If people can’t bother to learn about something, why just spout ignorant talking points?

Also, what car DO you drive, and what are your politics?

Just curious.

I drive an 88 Volvo “Brick” – a Pre-Ford Volvo, and a 77 Land Rover Series III 109 – also pre-Ford. And I’m a conservative.

Can a job application in California be denied based on the applicants politics?

A asked:

My wife applied for a job (California), no mention of politics etc. on the job requirement. She sent an e-mail to the person who posted the job on Linked-In who replied…
“Thanks, ****. I’m afraid our politics don’t mesh.”
The only place her politics is mentioned is on her Facebook page.
Isn’t this political discrimination? To not even be considered for a job because of your political beliefs?
