Michelle asked:

Religion in America infuses politics to a degree not found in most other industrialized nations of the West. The label godless, and especially godless liberal, are epithets. The truth is that there is nothing about being a “godless liberal” or having a secular democracy which is incompatible with the basic political values of America: individual rights, religious liberty, and personal autonomy. So what is the confusion?

I’m not sure of the exact details, but on a CNN student news show (it’s like the news for kids and my Social Studies teacher makes us watch it every day, anyways) on the CNN news show it said that there was this quiz on Politics and US history and stuff like that given to ordianary citizens and political people and the citizens scored higher, even though both scores were bad. Less then 50% of the political people could name the three branches of government! This is just sad.
