In the Bible, what examples were given for mixing religion and politics?

WBBR WatchTower Radio Live!!! asked:

What examples are there in the Bible? Where are these examples located (books, chapters, and verses please not looking for assumptions or opinions here)? After clarifying this then the question begs, why do so many of today’s “Christians” feel that it is okay to partake in politics or support politicians (This is where you can state your assumptions or opinions but only after you show where you are basing it on from the Bible)?
Again people, first comes the place on where you are getting this…Bible book, verse and chapter…then your rebuttle. There is a reason why I asked this not because I want you to research it for me. Thank you.
Does no one read their Bibles? I cannot believe that.

How do partisan politics help our country?

Nicholas H asked:

I am so tired of hearing about Democrats and Republicans. If the government is supposed to be a government by the people and for the people, then why do we have partisan politics? All it does is give politicians one more thing to hold higher than the will of the people. It seems like the order in which politicians hold their allegiance goes like this:
1)Their party
2)The businesses that contribute the most $ to their campaigns
3)The voters (as a distant 3rd)

I’m tired of slowly realizing that political parties and corporations run this country. Why are we moving further from democracy? Does anyone else think this is ruining our country?

I’m fairly young (20), so my memory of campaigns spreads about as far back as Bush/Gore in 2000. Were there any major campaigns that didn’t focus so much on making the other side out be the side that will “destroy the country”? I know this is in the nature of politics, and the mudslinging goes as far back as the Roman empire, but does it always necessarily HAVE to be this negative?

How much does the Council on Foreign Relations really influence policy or politics?

advait0 asked:

Many cry the Council on Foreign Relations is somehow related to conspiracy, but how much does it really and openly influence policy or politics? It seems more like a social club or elite organization to me.

I mean I don’t see them all agreeing, the Director of the ACLU is in the CFR after all.

It would be the perfect mechanism to control the nation as it even has the Pres/Director of the ACLU in it and heads of non-profits, media, academic, etc. However, not all of these people agree at all.

So what does it really do?

Are you having fun playing Politics with the little blues and little reds?

Shawn asked:

Hey kids, are you guys having fun playing politics? Oh me? Don’t worry about what side or color i’m on, just consider me a observer of this game.

While you guys are fighting each other via internet about who has superior Intelligence, I thought I would let you know that both parties are corrupt and your government is jackin you up as we speak.

So if you don’t mind, I hope you guys can pause your gameplay for a moment and come help me deal with our government before all our wealth gets stolen.

How about it?

Also, do you vote (if old enough)?

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but there are tons of people who have absolutely NO interest in politics or our government…
Oh ya, What party (please no ranting) are you with and which party were your parents with if any?
