Felonius_Monkey asked:

Today’s politics is all about creating fear and hatred in the electorate. What led America to this? And why?

Amira C asked:

I would like to know…
Are you a young person that is interested in politics and current affairs?
If so what issues are you most concerned about or interested in?
What viewpoints do you have? Would you classify yourself as a Conservative, a Liberal or somewhere in between?

If you are a young person that is not interested why not?

And for older people…
How important do you think it is for young people to be involved?

Is it ever okay to talk about politics or religion in the workplace, and if so when?

anybody asked:

By politics, I really mean politics and not workplace politics. I’ve always thought it to be improper to talk about these things in the workplace, but my coworkers talk about these things a lot. I try to avoid these topics for the most part, but when people ask my take – when is it okay to talk about these topics?

Why are some of Obamas supporters calling everyone who doesn’t believe in his politics ******?

Christal H asked:

That’s like me saying all the Obama supporters **** white people. Racism goes all different directions, I don’t like McCains politics either but no ones calling me a ****** for that. This election shouldn’t be about race, it should be out America and we got all sorts of colors in the good old USA. Stop using the cop out that everyone who disagrees with a black politician hates black people, we may just **** his ideas.

Why does politics make so many incapable of critical thought?

smoogs asked:

Why do so many people allow themselves to be completely blinded by partisan politics? It seems as if many people lose their ability to use any critical thinking whatsoever during times of elections, and they allow themselves to be dragged along by politicians’ false words.

So many people buy into idiotic attack ads from their favored candidate, and it puzzles me how people can buy into such nonsense without doing some fact checking.

Is the root problem of Americans not being able to use critical thinking a problem with the education system, such as relying on rote learning, or are humans just naturally biased?
