Is anyone on here serious when they debate politics, or is it more or less a game we play?

I’ll be honest, I like playing devil’s advocate and the debating part of politics is entertaining. But I get the feeling that some people on here seem to almost consider themselves prophets by the way they speak with unyielding certainty.

So my question is this: are you on here for the sake of debate or do you have an agenda, something you are trying to prove? I’m not judging, I was just curious. Thanks!

gws35 asked:

Republicans act only to benefit the wealthy.

Democrats act only to benefit the criminals.

Madoff is a Democrat. He’s wealthy, but he’s also a criminal. So he chose the Democrats.

So if politics is a contest between the wealthy and the criminals, do the wealthy criminals always win no matter what the outcome is?
